For these musicians hard work comes with relief, pride and rock n’ roll. After five months in the making, Woodcreek’s Commercial Music Project presents “Rock Revolution,” showing Jan. 26-28 at 7 PM in the WHS Theatre.
In September 2011, fifteen young musicians were already working hard to prepare for this week’s show. The concert showcases each performers’ talents on guitar, vocals, bass, drums and piano.
“It ROCKS – everything from Jefferson Airplane to The Eagles to Lady Gaga,” said John Harmon, guitar teacher.
The Commercial Music Project, also known as CMP, is an audition-only group comprised of musically talented students.
“I created CMP because I wanted a higher level group that only focused on performing,” said Harmon.
Last year Harmon hand-picked individuals from his Advanced Guitar class to participate in a test-run of CMP. The Commercial Music Project proved a success, resulting in this week’s second annual CMP concert.
Harmon said that musically the show is very good and he hopes for a good turn out.
This Thursday, Friday and Saturday come support the musicians of CMP: Sammy Bentley, Kaitlin Buchanan, Tyler Campbell, Jasmine Davey, Connor Gilmartin, Taylor Hodge, Joe Petersen, Sam Plecker, N’cole Robinson, Westley Rose, Andy Sierra, Abby Skaff and Mona Villamayor.
