This Thursday night the drama department is holding the Nicole Clementi Scholarship Fundraiser in the cafeteria at 6 PM. The fundraiser consists of dinner and a show as well as a silent auction. Drama students will be performing duo scenes, songs, and a one-act called Cut.
Clementi graduated from Woodcreek with the Class of ’07, as an outstanding theatre student and artist. She unfortunately was taken from us too soon and in order to preserve her memory, the theatre department created a scholarship in her name. Clementi touched the lives of many who knew her and her passion and devotion to the arts lives on in the students who are awarded the scholarship. Last year’s winners included former seniors Zoe Moran, Junior Dominguez, and Evan Carbone. This year’s scholarship will also go to a student who plans to pursue theatre in college.
This is the second time that the department will be holding this fundraiser. It is sure to be a great night that Clementi would have been proud of.
